We are looking for a full time candidate that is expanding their career in Quality Assurance who is interested in growing within our company in a fast-paced environment that is supportive and challenging.
 
This person will be responsible for developing and executing test artifacts (test notes, test cases, defect reports) for new and existing features to ensure that the Application Development work product meets Product Managements specified requirements and delivers a high level of quality release over release. The ideal individual needs to be able to work with little direct supervision, troubleshoot for problems using initiative and good judgment; as well as research and understand the function of the application or product area in order to verify changes to functionality are working as specified. It is critical to bring a strong desire to understand the functionality being tested within the larger context of the business need. Analysis skills will be utilized daily as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and rapidly changing priorities. Must be able to recognize issues (e.g. with requirements, design, implementation, etc.) and work with appropriate resources to address and resolve. Effective communication, collaboration and team work in a fast-paced, technical culture are essential for success. Positive relationships with Product, Development, QA and other team members must be cultivated and maintained. Outstanding customer service is required.
 
The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and executing the QA and testing strategies for our core software engines and identify bugs. This individual will also inspect all new products before/when they launch.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and implement standards and best practices for testing; define methodologies, pass/fail criteria, risk assessment and assumptions
  • Manage, enhance and contribute to regression testing
  • Ensure features achieve the desired level of functional flow and quality - including reliability, security and performance
  • Ability to understand basic database concepts as they apply to testing including SQL, Oracle, DB2, etc
  • Actively participate in project plans, estimating work and monitoring progress against milestones.
  • Interact with developers, end users, and all other groups involved in project development, testing or test planning.
  • Implement automation principles, define best practices, and lead the adoption of technologies and tools that drive efficiencies throughout the team.
  • Hands-on development of test suites.
  • Produce and maintain useful and usable documentation of work. Document and analyze all test results.
  • Handle multiple tasks effectively and communicate well. Demonstrate excellent teamwork and collaboration skills throughout all stages of the process
  • Must have real-world experience
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science
  • 3-5 years experience in Software Quality Assurance (programming experience required)
  • Understanding of software engineering skills and QA/Test and automation methodologies
  • Fluency in multiple testing types, techniques, and their values
  • Determine and perform test setup and execution, including identifying and loading all test data.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of web technologies and source management techniques
